The CPSU NSW welcomes the university commencing the process that will see the Professional Staff Enterprise Agreement being put to a vote.

Despite the CPSU NSW having reached in-principle Agreement in June 2023, other parties sought to delay the agreement and pay rises.

The CPSU NSW urges Professional Staff to VOTE YES to the new The University of New South Wales (Professional Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2023 (EA).

The new EA sees many improvements and achievements from the CPSU NSW including but not limited to:

Rate of Increase Increase payable from first full pay period on or after
6% Date Agreement commences operation
3.5% 1 July 2024
3.5% 1 July 2025
4% 1 July 2026

With a 1 per cent administrative increase in 2022, a total 18 per cent rate of increase marks the highest achieved in the university sector in NSW. The CPSU NSW lead the way in advocating for members and countering offers to make this a rise to be proud of.

The CPSU NSW Bargaining Team wishes to thank all members for their patience in what has been a lengthy and exhausting round of bargaining.

We will shortly be releasing a comprehensive document on the Pros and Cons of the new EA and will hold an all-members meeting to facilitate discussions on the improvements.
